"La Casa de Marita" hotel, located on Isabela island, offers the
visitor a unique land based perspective on Galapagos. Visitors can observe the majority of
Galapagos endemic wildlife, knowing that the comforts of "La Casa de Marita's"
from which a variety of day trips can be organized, await them at the end of every day. La
Casa de Marita's" strategic location in the small fishing village of Villamil (pop.
1,300) makes this possible. The village is located on the southern tip of Isabela island,
the largest in Galapagos, most of which is National Park lands. "La Casa de
Marita's" seeks to combine all of the traditional qualities of an international
standard hotel, such as comfort, privacy, and service with the family atmosphere of a
large vacation home of the Italian countryside.
The hotel is located on the only large beach in all of Galapagos (more than
3 km of white sand and endemic plant life). The volcanoes of southern Isabela are the only
ones easily accessible to visitors–day trips on foot or horseback can be arranged.
Bicycles, snorkeling equipment can be rented at the hotel, and tame horses can be arranged
for trips on the beach, in the agricultural lands, or to the volcanic rim. Villamil, with
its sandy streets and traditional comings and goings of small fishing vessels, offers
visitors a great opportunity relax, and to travel back in time.
Accommodations
Casa de Marita, situated just on the beach, is a very unique 
hotel (13 rooms, each one with different decor) in an “Art Deco”
fashion, and seeks to combine all of the traditional qualities of an international
standard hotel, such as comfort, privacy, and service with the familiar atmosphere of a
vacation home of the Italian Riviera.
CASA DE MARITA located on Isabela Island, nearby the small village of Puerto
Villamil, has developed a new way of visiting the Islands which offers the traveler a
unique land based perspective on the Galapagos Islands. Isabela is the largest and most
beautiful of the Galapagos islands, and, although it has most of what the rest of the
islands have to offer, only a couple of visiting points are featured on regular cruise
schedules. This program offers the opportunity to explore a very attractive part of this
incredible island and to see wildlife and landscapes that just few travelers have
experienced before. The main advantage of this new program is that visitors are not
subject to fixed itineraries and departures. They can enjoy nature surroundings the hotel,
by allowing themselves to program their excursions or to take one of the 
various tour options, including other land visits on Isabela and to the
nearby island of Floreana. Or, if they prefer, just enjoy the peacefulness of an unspoiled
beach (3 km of the best beach in South America's Pacific Ocean waters) and the friendly
fishermen. To avoid the long cruising from airport islands to Isabela, passengers
experience a spectacular flight over the archipelago with small aircraft, directly into
Puerto Villamil.
5-Day/4-Night Program:
Day 1: Fly from Baltra. Arrival at Puerto Villamil in the morning. Pick up
and transfer to Casa de Marita for lunch. In the afternoon free. Overnight and dinner.
Day 2: Half day tour to Las Tintoreras incl Box Lunch. Returnt to the Hotel. Overnight and
dinner.
Day 3: Full day tour to Sierra Negra and Volcán Chico incl Box Lunch. Return to hotel for
overnight and dinner.
Day 4: Half day tour to Breeding center, Marshland and Flamingo Lagoon. Lunch at the
hotel. Overnight and dinner.
Day 5: Transfer out for flight to Baltra
