Chobe Game Lodge

Introduction

Chobe Game Lodge river gameviewing.jpg (21633 bytes)Chobe Game Lodge must be in one of Africa's finest locations, overlooking from its shady walkways and galleries, the placid Chobe River and the vast expanse of the Caprivi flood-plain beyond, with its herds of elephant, buffalo and antelope. As the only permanent lodge within the Chobe National Park, Chobe Game Lodge shares its space, 11 700 square kilometres, with over 35 000 elephants.

Designed in the Moorish style the lodge has played host to a number of international figures and events, the most famous of which was the wedding of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.

Meals are served on the covered terrace and there are two bars, one of which has a full-size billiard table. In addition, there is a lounge, a well-equipped curio shop and a swimming pool.

The lodge also has a full-service conference facility offering seating for up to 100 delegates.

The Lodge

All 46 rooms are tastefully furnished and cooled by overhead punkah-punkah fans and air-conditioning. For the connoisseur of luxury there are four private suites, each with individual swimming pools and outside garden patio. All rooms overlook the perennial Chobe river and the adjacent Caprivi flood-plain.

Maximum 100 guests in 46 double rooms + 4 suites.

All conference aids are available, including 16 mm and slide projectors, flip charts, VCR and television, telex, fax and telephone facilities.

Your stay at Chobe Game Lodge is inclusive of accommodation, all meals, unlimited activities, park entrance fees and laundry service. Not included are all beverages, (with the exception of teas and coffees), gratuities, curios and all items of a personal nature.
